Teeth straightening is often associated with children and teenagers, however, with the advancement and variety of teeth straightening devices teeth straightening is now a common procedure for adults too.
There are a variety of options available with regards to straightening your teeth (as detailed below). During an initial consultation we will advise on the most suitable options for you.
Ceramic brackets are similar to traditional train-track brace styles, only with clear or tooth-coloured brackets for a discrete look.
Incognito™ Hidden Braces are just that: braces which are near invisible. They are fitted behind the teeth for an unadulterated smile.
Invisalign is a discrete orthodontic procedure, where near invisible orthodontic aligners are changed every 2 weeks and used to bring the teeth back in line.
Inman Aligner is a removable device designed to straighten common teeth misalignments such as crowding and cross-bites.
To begin the process of straightening your teeth we’ll arrange an initial assessment where you’ll be advised of the most appropriate option for you and the costs of treatment.
The process from thereon depends on the option selected, however during your first appointment you may be sized for your teeth straightening appliance.
Your progress will be carefully monitored and your device adjusted as required during a number of appointments over the course of the treatment. When your teeth are at the desired position your brace will be removed, leaving you with a fantastic new smile!
Finally, you’ll be offered aftercare, including retainers to help ensure the longevity of your results.
Because teeth straightening procedures are often carried out on teenagers, many adults feel like they have missed the boat if they didn’t undergo this when they were younger. However, with fantastic technology available, many options are near-invisible, making them incredibly discrete for everyday wear, no matter what your age.
Your dentist will assess your teeth and create a bespoke solution for you. We offer plenty of options, including Invisalign, Incognito and lingual braces.
The solution and duration varies from patient to patient. Your dentist will be able to give you a realistic indication of how long it will take for your smile to be fully realigned.
