We advise both adults and children to maintain regular dental hygiene appointments to help you maintain great oral health and prevent future problems.
If any problems are found we can apply fissure sealants to help prevent tooth decay where necessary and for those suffering from periodontal disease we offer a range of gum disease treatments.
Having a regular dental hygiene appointment can help to maintain a good level of oral health, and prevent issues such as gingivitis, gum disease and cavities.
More about dental hygiene appointments
A fissure sealant is when a back tooth has a thin plastic coating applied in order to seal the tooth and help prevent decay. This is often applied when children’s adult teeth first come through, but may also be applied in later life.
Gum disease is a more common complaint than you may expect. 70% of the population have gingivitis and most of us will suffer with gum disease at some point in our lives. We offer a wide range of gum disease treatments, including scale and polishes, root planing, and in more extreme cases, periodontal surgery.
Our philosophy is to deal with dental related issues before they become a bigger problem.
Regular hygiene appointments and dental checkups are important to maintain a good level of oral health. Brushing twice daily, interdental brushing and maintaining a healthy diet are essential to keep your mouth in a great condition in the long term.
